Radio Biafra continues to battle with the epileptic power supply in Nigeria which has been making it impossible to transmit effective and efficient quality live broadcasts from Biafraland. We sincerely apologise for the delays and disruption to our quality services to you.We however advise that there is no guarantee that there would be a quick fix to this problem until we commence full broadcasting from London again.

Radio Biafra appreciates the level of infratsructural decadance and deficiencies that abound in the contraption called Nigeria. Nigeria in our estimation is and can nver be redeemed. The nemesis informed by the calamities befalling the Nigerian state today is not by accident. The spirit of Biafra will never allow Nigeria and Nigerians to rest as the nnocent Biafrans massacred and their blood that are still being spilled by official but tacit sponsored terrorism by BOKO HARAM continues to seek for justice.Recently, the Nigerian state had set up a committee to compensate BOKO HARAM for wilfully massacring Biafran and specifically the Igbos in northern Nigeria in utter neglect and exclusion of the victims of BOKO HARAM and their agonizing families. But what is the outcome we may ask? The direct consequence is that BOKO HARAM has rejected the offer and we can conclusively submit that the house has turned against itself.Like the late literally icon, Chinue Acbebe succinctly put it,'the centre can longer hold'. We maintain that Nigeria's problem is mostly spiritual for he who spilled blood must pay for it.Nigeria and Nigerians, therefore, will never know peace as the blood of innocent Biafrans spilled and their spirits will continue to torment, hunt and hound Nigeria until it collapses and dismembers. It is only a question of time.

Tension in Onitsha as Hausa residents flee city
by Emmanuel Obe, Awka from PUNCH

Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, on Tuesday said there would be no reprisal on northerners in the South-East following Monday's bus bombing in Kano where more than 30 people were reportedly killed. Calling for calm, Uwazurike said, "We are not known for bloodletting and Ndigbo cannot be cowed into shedding blood but we want an end to this senseless bloodletting of the Igbo in the North in whatever name called." The MASSOB leader's assurance came as Hausa residents in Onitsha shut their shops and fled the city for fear of reprisals. Non-indigenes, mainly northerners, closed all their business premises at the Head Bridge Market and other parts of the city to seek protection in various security stations including the Army barracks in the city and police stations. Chairmen of Ndigbo Unity Forum and Anambra Traders' Forum, Augustine Chukwudum and Dede Uzor, condemned the attack in Kano, describing it as barbaric and threat to the country's unity.
They also praised the prompt intervention of the Commander, 302 Army cantonment, Onitsha, Col, T Gagariga; Navy Commander A. Ahmed and the Onitsha  Area Police Commander, Mr. Benjamin Wordu for calming the tensed situation in  Onitsha. Chukwudum said, "We call on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Kano, Borno, Gombe, Yobe and Adamawa states. "That is the only option left to stop these killings of Ndigbo in the northern states of Nigeria. We call on Federal Government to compensate the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack. Let security men take full control of the situation and provide security for Ndigbo in the North."

The decision by the leadership and entire membership of Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) to merge and become one with Bilie Human Rights Initiative (BHRI) is a welcome development supported by Radio Biafra which demonstrates that unity is achievable within Biafra and by extension the Igbo society. We therefore commend BZM on their magnanimity and spirit of brotherhood which have so far been lacking in this struggle. In this regard, Radio Biafra will like to call on all other genuine pro-Biafra groups to follow the lead set by Biafra Alliance Australia and now BZM in joining hands with Bilie Human Rights Initiative under the guidance of the Council of Elders led by His Royal Majesty, Chief Justice Eze Ozobu (Rtd) Chairman and Col. Achuzie serving as the Secretary, to support the agitation for Biafra exclusively through legal and political means. Bilie Human Rights Initiative supported by Radio Biafra accords full stewardship of the agitation for Biafra to our elders and fathers in line with ancient Biafran traditions and customs. Now that our elders have put everything on the line to come out for the first time in the struggle for Biafra because of the sincerity and openness of Bilie Human Rights Initiative and transparency of Radio Biafra, let us strengthen and support them with all our might that Biafra may come in a matter of months not years. The Council of Elders is the apex governing body of Bilie Human Rights Initiative and will be present at the next court hearing on the 28th of March 2013.

                             RADIO BIAFRA

The ONLY PURPOSE for the existence of Radio Biafra London is to set a largely misinformed public free from the twin evil of tyrannical rule of a cabal of ill-educated and institutionally corrupt men and women and the sponsored sectarian killings directed against Christian Southerners living in Northern Nigeria by terrorists operating in the name of Islam. It will also serve to articulate a solution to the plight of impoverished and confused Igbo families abandoned by their leaders in Northern Nigeria to a fate worse than those endured by black slaves in plantations in the Americas.

Radio Biafra London will use and deploy every available resource to campaign for the rights of all oppressed indigenous peoples of Southern Nigeria to determine how they wish to structure their societies and live their lives. Radio Biafra London would broadcast debates on issues of national and international importance affecting the lives and rights of the indigenous peoples of Biafra and indeed indigenous people of all ethnic persuasions in Nigeria.

Radio Biafra London further wishes to give advance warning to all looters, embezzlers, kidnappers, sponsors of terrorism, child traffickers, corrupt judges, crooked university lecturers, murderous Nigerian security forces and all thieving individuals masquerading as public officials who steal public funds thereby preventing developmental projects from impacting positively on the lives of the ordinary people. These looters and workers of iniquity will be named and shamed. There will be no hiding place for common thieves who use the cover of high political offices to steal in the name of Nigerian politics. For Radio Biafra London, there will be nothing like no-go-areas in what can be reported, discussed and analysed. The governing principle of the Public-Right-To-Know of the issues affecting their lives will be rigorously upheld.
